After UofA, we moved to Boston for several years where my husband was raised. I joined AT&T there but then moved to Los Angeles after our first son was born. ATT spun me off to Lucent Technologies and Avaya in the sales dept. I retired in 2008 as a global sales director and was fortunate to be able to travel internationally in my career. We now have 2 homes and we spend most of the year in Los Angeles where our boys reside and the summer on the beach in the Boston area where we have a beach home and a nice sailboat. We've been blessed.

Hi all. This is Sherry (Brooks) Plotkin. I've been reading this site for years now, but don't believe I've ever written on it. Unfortunately, I'm writing on it now because of the passing of a dear high school and BBG friend. Joanne. Joanne and I were not best friends but our friendship had an impact on my younger life. She was one year older than I was, and always set the standard for how I participated in BBG. When she was the president of our chapter, her leadership was just amazing and as I followed her as president I tried to emulate her behavior. We knew each other in college and from time to time would talk. As a sophomore at U OF A in the asecond semester,, I married Stephen Plotkin and our social group changed so I lost track of Joanne. I guess unfortunately, this is the way I found out about her life and now her passing. Even after all these years without contact, it brings me such sadness,that it's hard to describe. I wish. for the rest of you reading this, the best of health and longevity that sadly our friend Joanne was unable to have.
